A team of 8 girls capta
ined by Eleanor took part in their first ever matches at the Girls Football tournament on Monday at Kingdown School. The team, Jessica, Sophie, Imogen, Amelia, Lexie, Grace, Isabella and Eleanor put in a valiant effort in near freezing conditions. Against some strong competition they battled on, (and probably have the bruises to prove it) they never gave up and encouraged each other every step of the way. Having had no chance to practise with our field out of action the girls were at a distinct disadvantage from their opposition but they improved with every match and had fun into the bargain. Well done girls Mrs Robinson and I were very proud of you all. Mrs Brennan.
